- In 1996, 14 WTO members signed the Information Technology Agreement (ITA), an important deal that aimed to the elimination of import duties on ICT equipment.
- It is clear that the ITA needs a revision and ETNO supports such evolution. ETNO members welcome an ITA expansion, in order to make it more comprehensive, recognizing changes in patterns of global ICT trade and production and the pace of technological innovation in the industry.
