Press release: Padraig o murchu hot-metal-studio wins eircom’s Digital Boost

eircom is delighted to announce that Padraig o murchu hot-metal-studio is the fifth winner of its Digital Boost initiative.  Based in Ballymurrin, Co Wicklow, Padraig and his team specialise in hot and cold metal sculpturing incorporating metals such as copper, bronze, stainless steel, brass and other unusual metals.   

Padraig o murchu hot-metal-studio was set up in 1996 and is a family business. Since setting up the studio, Padraig has established a loyal fan base in Ireland, where he has won a number of awards. His metal sculptures have also been displayed in prestigious venues such as MAISON&OBJET in Paris, [solo] Artexpo New York and Top Drawer London. Padraig has created a series of critically acclaimed collections which have established him as one of Ireland’s most exciting artists.

We’ve been in business for 17 years. Over the last few years, things have changed dramatically for us and we have moved from trade-only to targeting a broader customer base.

As we are located in a rural area, having an online retail presence is crucial for the survival and growth of our business but we didn’t know how to get it off the ground. Working with the team in eircom will help us to showcase our designs both in Ireland and internationally.”
